Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

On January 30 (Thursday), Ambassador Kwon met with Minister of External Affairs, International Trade, Civil Aviation and Diaspora Affairs, Alva Baptiste on the occasion of a business trip to Saint Lucia, and exchanged in-depth views on ways to promote bilateral friendship, respond to climate change, and cooperate in the international arena.

Minister Alva Baptiste noted that Korea is an old friend, having established diplomatic relations shortly after his country's independence, and expressed his views on a wide range of topics, including the promotion of bilateral diplomacy, support for votes in international organizations, personnel exchanges, energy security and climate change response, and issues related to the Trump administration.

The Embassy will continue to actively cooperate with the Ministry of External Affairs, International Trade, Civil Aviation and Diaspora Affairs of Saint Lucia not only in bilateral diplomatic relations, but also in the areas of development cooperation, multilateral diplomacy, and climate change, which is a common challenge for humanity.
