Embassy of the Republic of Korea to the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago

On Monday, January 27, Ambassador Kwon met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Export Development of Grenada, Honourable Joseph Andall and Permanent Secretary Roxie McLeish-Hutchinson on the occasion of his visit to Grenada to present his credentials as a non-resident ambassador, exchanging views on ways to promote bilateral friendship, cooperation in international organizations and in the field of medicine as well as climate change issues.

Honourable Minister Andall recalled the cultural events held last year to celebrate the 50th anniversary of diplomatic relations between the two countries and described Korea as a highly recognized country in Grenada, expressing his willingness to cooperate in various fields in the future.

In turn, Permanent Secretary McLeish-Hutchinson recalled the past when she served as the Korean Affairs Officer in the Ministry and expressed her interest in working together to promote bilateral relations.

As Grenada established diplomatic relations with the Republic of Korea in the same year that Grenada gained independence, the Embassy will continue to support each other in the international community and explore various ways to strengthen bilateral ties.
